Job Position: Carpenter (NOC 72310) Salary: $39.00 per hour for 30-40 hours/week Location: 1519 Longley Cres, Kelowna, BC, V1P 1N1 Vacancy: 2 Employment Type: Full-time Permanent. Start Date: As soon as possible Job Requirements Languages: English Education: Completion of secondary school is usually required Experience: Previous relevant experience of up to 3 years is required. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, Manual dexterity. Personal Suitability: Reliability, Flexibility and Team player. Work Location: Various Locations. Specific Skills: • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements. • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed. • Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements. • Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items. • Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware. • Lay out flooring, roofing or drywall ensuring they are leveled and compatible. • Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance of tools. • Build scaffolding and other construction structures.
