Work site environment Dusty Work setting Commercial Residential Responsibilities Tasks Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Supervise other workers Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster Clean and prepare surfaces Cure freshly plastered surfaces Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied Prepare wall and ceiling layouts Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages Supervision 1 to 2 people Additional information Weight handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Personal suitability Flexibility Reliability Team player Profil / Compétences:
