Totally Tutors is currently seeking teachers in the locations of Etobicoke, West Toronto, Midtown, Central, East York for the following roles: Elementary Tutor - all subject areas Middle School Tutor - all subject areas High School Tutor - all subject areas To view our current available jobs visit Why choose us? We bring the students to you – no need to advertise or chase leads Teach students who are the right fit – you choose who you work with Set your own schedule – flexible hours that work for you Access to our resources drive - to take the work out of planning and creating material Receive ongoing support – we’re here to help every step of the way No admin headaches – we handle payments and logistics Professional Development - training in the Wilson Reading System and Private School Test Prep Our Tutors Our tutors meet one or more of the following criteria: Are in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or are certified to teach in another Canadian province or territory Are current teacher candidates enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited Canadian university or college In addition, our tutors: Are passionate about teaching and committed to helping students succeed Have prior tutoring and/or classroom experience Demonstrate strong knowledge of and familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum Are able to build rapport with students and develop positive, professional relationships with families Communicate clearly and effectively Are patient, adaptable, organized, and dependable Are confident tailoring their approach to different learning needs and personalities Roles and Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring in the student’s home (with an adult present) Travel to students' homes within a 20-minute commute by TTC or car Demonstrate knowledge of and familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum Prepare and organize relevant lesson materials tailored to each student Monitor student progress and communicate updates to parents Compensation: Starting at $40 an hour depending on experience and qualifications How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their resume here or by email to Equal Opportunity Employer: Totally Tutors is an equal opportunity employer.
