Job Description:

We are looking for a primary childcare provider for our children

Location:

Outremont, QC H2V 2M4

Title:

home child care provider

Duties:

Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

Bathe, dress and feed infants and children

Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

Organize, activities such as games and outings for children

Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Prepare infants and children for rest periods

Supervise and care for children

Tend to emotional well-being of children

Care is needed due to a medical condition of one of the parents

Required Education/Experience:

· Have completed a secondary school diploma, at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education

· Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school

OR

1 year of continuous paid full-time experience as a caregiver or full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school

Skills/ Qualifications:

• Be reliable and punctual

• Take initiative

• Flexibility and patience

• Show good judgment

• Have good intuition

• Have excellent organizational skills

Language Requirement:

Knowledge of English (oral)

Employment conditions, salary and hours:

Contract position with possibility of renewal

The caregiver is expected to work 35-80 hours per week depending on the week.

Schedule is to work in 11-day cycles: 7 days straight (Monday – Sunday) 6:30-6pm, and then off for 4 days

Salary of $19 /hour.

Schedule may vary depending on the family's needs.
