Job Description: We are looking for a primary home support worker for our child who has severe food allergies. Location: Hampstead, QC H3X 3C4 Title: home support worker for children Duties: Administer medications Launder clothing and household linens Mend clothing and linens Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties Plan therapeutic diets and menus Provide personal care Prepare and serve nutritious meals Care is needed due to a medical condition of our child. Required Education/Experience: · Have completed a secondary school diploma, at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education · Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school OR 1 year of continuous paid full-time experience as a caregiver or full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school Skills/ Qualifications: • Be reliable and punctual • Take initiative • Flexibility and patience • Show good judgment • Have good intuition • Have excellent organizational skills Language Requirement: Knowledge of English (oral) Employment conditions, salary and hours: Contract position with possibility of renewal The caregiver is expected to start with 40 hours a week Salary of $19.27 /hour. 9am – 6pm Schedule may vary depending on the family's needs.
