In this pivotal site leadership role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality commercial projects—ranging from ground-up builds to interior fit-outs—on schedule and up to standard. We are looking for a professional who thrives in a passionate, high-energy environment where taking immense pride in your work is just as important as enjoying the team you work with. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of ownership to the site, blending hands-on carpentry skills with the ability to lead and mentor junior staff.

Competitive annual compensation ranging from $75,000 to $95,000, based on your level of experience.

Comprehensive benefits package provided upon completion of the probationary period.

Clear avenues for professional growth, including the opportunity to advance into Site Superintendent positions.

A high degree of on-site autonomy once you have demonstrated reliable results.

A unique, values-driven corporate culture that rewards hard work while keeping things fun.

Excellent employee perks, including engaging team-building events and getting your birthday off.

Responsibilities
Provide on-site supervision, leadership, and hands-on support to crews executing commercial interior improvements and new builds.

Partner closely with the Site Superintendent to roll out daily operational plans and assist in drafting 3-week look-ahead schedules.

Manage the logistics of the site by coordinating material orders, receiving equipment, and directing sub-trades.

Work actively on the tools and complete manual tasks alongside your team to ensure project deadlines are met.

Champion a culture of safety by strictly enforcing OH&S standards and site-specific safety protocols.

Conduct thorough quality control checks to guarantee all construction aligns accurately with the provided blueprints and drawings.

Identify, document, and efficiently resolve any project deficiencies.

Handle site administration, including filling out daily logs, managing safety paperwork, and submitting photo or video progress updates.

Act as a coach and mentor to guide the development of junior site personnel.

Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience acting as a Foreman or Lead Hand specifically within the commercial construction industry.

A valid Trade Certification (such as a Journeyman Carpenter ticket) or an equivalent combination of extensive practical experience.

Current and valid safety tickets, including Standard First Aid, WHMIS, Fall Protection, and CSTS.

Strong technical aptitude for reading and interpreting specifications, blueprints, and construction drawings.

Comfortable using modern technology, including standard office software (Word, Teams, Zoom) and construction management platforms (such as Autodesk Build).

Proactive conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills, with the judgment to escalate major issues when necessary.

A highly coachable mindset with a genuine desire for ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated construction leader who wants to make a tangible impact on commercial builds while growing their career with a supportive, vibrant organization. If you are passionate about quality craftsmanship and have the leadership skills to guide a site crew to success, we want to hear from you.
